Video from Christoph Girot's studio at the ETH Zurich Working with Video The Video subject aims to offer the students an up-to-date "tool" for design work in landscape architecture and to show them how to use it. Video is used as an instrument to educate the subjective perception and to reflect the contemporary perception of landscape through a new media. The analysis of visual conventions are the basis for a precise visualization of landscape architectural design. The produced videos reflect these conventions and their influence on design work. The video camera becomes a sketching tool to document a site. The interpretation and evaluation of video images will show a participant’s attitude to a given landscape.
