London Office Visit

MA Landscape Architecture and Garden Design students visited BDP London office to see the variety of landscape architecture design projects. The director of the landscape team, Mehron Kirk and Senior Landscape Architect Lucy White, a Writtle University College alumni, hosted the group in the afternoon. After a tour of the historic mill conversion building we had the opportunity of see a range of design projects designed by the team. Director Mehron Kirk is explaining projects to the students   As part of our London tour we visited King Cross Regeneration Project exploring the different scales of urban public spaces, their usage and transformation from temporary to permanent space applications. The characteristic of each public space reflects the architectural variation, material choice and the purpose and quality of each area. Student Design Competition

Last week our Landscape Architecture & Garden Design students were visited by Vanessa Moore, Exhibitions & Events Coordinator of RHS Lindley Library, and Robert Brett, the Curator of RHS Hyde Hall. Jury is judging the projects Third year undergraduate landscape students Third year undergraduate landscape architecture and garden design students exhibited their initial designs for their dissertation sites, using Humphry Repton as inspiration for their presentation styling. Their visualisations were judged by our guests as well as students and staff and they were encouraged to add constructive comments on the w ork. Congrats to Adam Newson for the winning presentation. 1st prize for Adam Newson 2nd prize for Michael Ekers This initial work forms the foundation for a further exhibition in conjunction with the RHS to be announced in 2018.
